The Washington Commanders are a professional Football team out of the NFL and are based in Washington DC. The Commanders began play in 1932 and have won three Super Bowls defeating the Dolphins in 1982, the Broncos in 1987 and the Bills in 1991. Currently, the Skins play at FedEx Field which is actually based in Maryland but only miles from the DC border. FedEx Field is the largest stadium in the NFL seating over eighty-five thousand fans. The Commanders play in the NFC East which is one of 8 divisions in the NFL. Their main rivals include the Dallas Cowboys, NY Giants and Philadelphia Eagles, all of which also reside in the NFC East. 22 players to have worn the Commanders maroon and yellow have been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame most notably Deion Sanders, John Riggins, and the franchise's first real star Sammy Baugh. The Commanders have only made the Playoffs three times since 2000.
