It is no wonder why we call New York City, the city that never sleeps. New York City and the surrounding North Jersey area is the home of 8 professional sports teams out of the four major sports leagues. Sports are a HUGE part of the Big Apple’s culture. Additionally, New York City has some of the most beautiful and luxurious golf courses in all the world. Bethpage Black, located near the city, has been the home of many Golf Majors including the US. Open. Speaking of which, New York also hosts the annual US Open Major Tennis Tournament. There is something for every type of sports fan in this city.
