The Philadelphia 76ers are one of five teams that are apart of NBA’s Atlantic Division and currently play at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia. Founded in 1946 as the Syracuse Nationals, this franchise moved to Philadelphia in 1963 and became what we know today as the Sixers. Being one of the oldest franchises in the NBA, the Sixers have had a rich history of producing some of the all time greatest players such as Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving (Dr. J), Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson. The Sixers have won the NBA Title twice, but it’s been since 1983 when they defeated the LA Lakers. They have won 5 Atlantic Division Titles with their last one coming in 2001, which was also the year that the team made their last Finals appearance which they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.
