The Brooklyn Nets joined the NBA in 1976 after playing in the ABA for their first nine years and are now a part of the Atlantic Division. Between 1977 and 2011, the Nets were known as the New Jersey Nets until 2012 when the team moved into downtown Brooklyn and became the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets have won 4 division titles, and 2 Conference Championships, but have yet to win an NBA title. The Nets are currently coached by Jason Kidd who also happens to be one of the Nets all time best players who recently just finished his career as a player.
